Indeed Labs is a Canadian skincare brand founded by the late Brandon Truax who left the company in 2013 to start Deciem. During his time, Indeed Labs was distributed stateside at Walgreens before the firm pulled the brand back. Dimitra Davidson, the current CEO, was one of the founding partners, and came armed to Indeed Labs with both a finance and retail background in 2015 and has been readying the company for growth, including a return to the U.S. They are currently sold nationwide in-store and online at Ulta.
They make EVERYTHING fragrance-free BLESS UP and they know how to offer a wide range of options and LISTEN to their customer’s feedback! I’m honestly so impressed by these products and the way they can be so versatile and incorporated into any routine. I want to try more from them, and although they had sent me a good amount of product to test, I’ve only been reaching for the subtle, less active focused products. Mostly the Hydralron range and the boosters. I recently ordered their cleaning balm, so when I give that a good try I will add it to this post! Let’s dive in.
HYDRALURON MOISTURE SERUM
This is a hyaluronic acid serum that comes in a squeeze tube instead of a dropper. I find that super helpful to be honest. It has a low molecular weight which allows the serum to penetrate beneath the skin’s surface resulting in enhanced hydration. It contains the purest form of hyaluronic acid and red marine algae, which I love. It has a high water concentration which helps with keeping the skin actually hydrated, and it definitely needs to be followed up with a moisturizer. I like to use this right after procedures like my micro-needling and I’ll be using it more often now that I’ve finished my other 3493489 hyaluronic acid serums. It’s really so beautiful and less sticky and tacky than other HA serums I’ve tried.
HYDRALURON INTENSE MOISTURE LOTION
This lotion comes in an airtight pump and has a unique blend of high, medium and low molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate which helps create a long-lasting moisture barrier. It also contains three key minerals: copper, magnesium, and zinc. Minerals are so important for the skin barrier and can help restructure and repair as well as protect from damage and aggressors. It does contain shea butter so if you are particularly oily keep that in mind, but for me, it actually works great as a nightly moisturizer to top off the hydraluron serum or any other serum. It’s a lightweight gel-like lotion that isn’t runny and can definitely provide great moisture and occlusiveness as well as hydration.
HYDRALURON MOISTURE JELLY
The Jelly is a gel in a pump tub container type packaging that is basically pure hyaluronic acid and PatchH20™ technology, which the brand claims it works to combat dullness, dehydration, dryness, and signs of premature aging. This one has a high molecular weight of hyaluronic acid which allows the jelly to form a protective layer on the skin in order to lock in hydration and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL). I just love the consistency of this jelly. Even though it’s a clear gel it really does provide me with a wonderful barrier of moisture and hydration. It’s such a delight to use this! It absorbs in the skin nicely but it leaves a soft glow behind, and the skin feels nourished, never stretched, or lacking anything! This is ideal for extremely oily skin types like my own! Oily skin lacks hydration which is water but also it is often disrupted in a way that causes TEWL, so this is very important to keep the hydration in without any chance of clogged pores! Highly recommend!
COLLAGEN BOOSTER
I am SO obsessed with this product! I usually don’t enjoy peptide type creams and products, but this one is so different. It really, really makes such a difference in making my skin feel supple. This is a super-concentrated multi-peptide serum that works to restore skin’s volume, firmness, and elasticity. This can really help with smoothing out and filling in fine lines and the appearance of pores. It features Syn®-Tacks™ which per the brand is a new combination of peptides and Matrixyl™ Synthe’6™ which is supposed to increase the synthesis of six major constituents of the skin.
I love using this after hyaluronic acid and I usually mix it with the mineral booster as well for added benefits. It’s also an amazing product to use during the day, under makeup, because it helps so much with suppleness and making me feel more awake and nourished!
MINERAL BOOSTER
I’ve come to really love and appreciate the effect of minerals like Zinc, Copper, and Magnesium on the skin. They are so helpful to de-stress the skin and these essential minerals are all available in this serum and help improve circulation, drain and detoxify skin tissues, reduce oxidative stress, and protect the skin against glycation. The minerals also help with repairing the skin barrier, so if you ever over-exfoliate or if you need to build your barrier up and stronger, you HAVE to use minerals! It’s a super lightweight consistency and absorbs very nicely on the skin leaving it supple. No stickiness. It mixes well with any other product underneath or on top. My only complaint is that because it’s a bit more viscous, it can’t get picked up as easily by the dropper, so a pump or squeeze tube packaging would be more beneficial and user-friendly. I honestly can’t recommend this enough, it’s a must-have especially if you’re using retinoids or chemical exfoliation often.
